IT training business HITs India.
Recently noticed a spurt in the number of trainings that im getting invites for. Looks like this is the next big sleazy business opportunity to hit Indian IT sector. Things that I have noticed:
1. Mostly organized by obscure organizations, 3rd grade corporates who were priorly mostly involved in corporate propoganda.
2. Trainers who are relatively unknown in the “field”. They just pick up some old timer whom the tech space knows nothing of just cos he seems to have been “hanging in there” for the past 20 years doing God alone knows what. Mostly people who are not even indexed by Google search.
3. The scene getting flooded with certifiations of no established credibility. I think soon India will run out of permutations of alphabets to derive the abbreviations for these… CSBC, ITCC, BSIC, ABCD… God know what else….
Final Verdict: Looks like another cheap money making scheme since averages courses are priced at: 8000INR/ 160$ for a 2 day course.
